Chewie: Chow Time

Thanks for playing Chewie: Chow Time! This privacy policy explains what information the game collects, how it's used, and your choices. The game is published by Chewie Games ("we", "us"). We've tried to keep this simple and clear.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to anyone who plays Chewie: Chow Time on iOS. The game is intended for general audiences and is not specifically directed at children under 13.

What the game stores on your device

The game saves the following information on your device only. It is never sent to us or anywhere else:

• Your best score
• Gameplay stats (e.g. total food eaten, runs played) used for milestone unlocks
• Your selected skin and which skins you have unlocked
• Which accessories you have unlocked and equipped (crowns, monocle, frames, etc.)
• Your ad consent preferences (for EU users — see GDPR section below)
• Your daily play streak
• Your sound, music, and haptics preferences
• Cached subscription and equipment state (re-synced with Apple when you launch the game)
• Tutorial progress flags

You can clear all of this at any time by deleting the app.

What information is sent to third parties

The game uses several third-party services. We do not operate any servers of our own and we do not receive any personal information about you.

Apple Game Center (leaderboards)

The game uses Apple Game Center to show global and friends leaderboards. If you sign in to Game Center:

• Your Game Center display name and alias are visible to other players on the leaderboard
• Your score and the skin/cosmetic you were using are submitted to Apple and shown on the leaderboard
• A unique Game Center player ID is used to identify your entry

You can sign out of Game Center at any time in iOS Settings → Game Center. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store (in-app purchases & subscription)

The game offers an optional subscription ("Chewie Plus"). All payments are processed by Apple — we never see your card details, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple notifies the game whether you currently own the subscription or the legacy purchase, nothing more. Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Google AdMob (rewarded ads)

When you choose to watch a rewarded ad to revive Chewie after a game over, Google AdMob serves the ad. AdMob may collect:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you allow tracking when iOS asks you
• IP address
• Device information (model, operating system, language)
• Ad interaction data (which ads you saw, whether you completed them)

If you select "Ask App Not to Track" on the iOS tracking prompt, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads and will not use your advertising identifier to track you across apps. If you subscribe to Chewie Plus, you can revive without watching ads.

EU / EEA / UK users: The first time you tap "Watch ad to revive" after a game over, Google AdMob will show a separate consent dialog asking whether AdMob may use your data to show you personalized advertising. If you decline, AdMob will show non-personalized ads instead. You can change your choice any time via Settings → Privacy Choices inside the game, or by reinstalling the app.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts

The game loads the "Fredoka" font from Google Fonts when it first starts. Google may log the IP address of the request. Google Fonts does not set cookies or use this data for advertising. See Google's Fonts privacy info.

What we do NOT collect

To be crystal clear, the game does not:

• Collect your name, email, phone number, or any contact details
• Use analytics services (Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Use crash reporting services
• Have its own user account system or its own servers
• Access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location
• Share any information with parties other than those described above

Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area (including Sweden), the United Kingdom, or another region with similar privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Ask what information is held about you
• Ask for it to be corrected or deleted
• Withdraw consent for tracking (you can do this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking)
• Consent to or refuse personalized advertising via the Google consent dialog that appears when you first watch a rewarded ad (re-accessible any time from in-app Settings → Privacy Choices)
• Opt out of personalized leaderboards by signing out of Game Center in iOS Settings
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY))

Because we do not collect or store any personal information ourselves, most requests would need to be sent to Apple (for Game Center and purchase data) or Google (for AdMob data) using the contact details in their respective privacy policies linked above.

Children's privacy

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to the game, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's update notes.
